Mudeford is a town located in Dorset and known as a harbour side and beach side parish, with a stunning view towards the Isle of Wight.

Mudeford is most famous for its crabbing experience. The waters at the Quay are perfect for crabbing, and there is even a little shop nearby to buy the essentials if you don’t have your own supplies.

There is everything you expect to see at a beach including the promenade of Mudeford Quay where you can get a bite to eat or drink, and even a shop!

You can take a Wildlife cruise which departs from Mudeford Quay and enjoy the spectacular sea views and sea birds and on occasions you may even spot a Dolphin!

You can take a stroll along the circular walk from Mudeford to Christchurch which takes you around the beautiful Christchurch Harbour and along the stunning sandy beaches at Mudeford, along the paths you will get to see many splendid views of the Isle of Wight and other popular sights along the way.

There are some really nice beaches in Mudeford, including Avon Beach, and Friars Cliff while across the river on Mudeford Spit is the renowned Hengistbury Head Beach.

PROS

Dog friendly beaches

Panoramic Views of Christchurch Harbour and Bay

Miles of unspoilt coast

Ferry from Mudeford Quay to Mudeford Sandbank

CONS

It can get extremely busy due to how popular it is, however, don’t let this put you off as it is still a top place to visit.

Brilliant day in (H)utter Madness, a great base for exploring the beach, close to all the amenities and the car park. A lovely, unfettered view of the beach and sea. The children loved the kids deckchairs as well. I’d definitely recommend this hut!
